Infinity Scarf

This is what you’ll need:

  • Worsted weight tweed yarn; I used up 2,5 skeins of 100gr/3.5oz – 170m/186yd
  • Crochet hook 9mm
  • Yarn needle

Stitch abbreviations:

  • st = stitch/stitches
  • ch = chain
  • hdc = half double crochet

1: ch32, 1hdc in 4th ch from hook, * skip 1st, 2hdc in next st * repeat until there are only 2ch left and 1hdc in last ch. Ch2 and turn.

2: 1hdc in first st, * skip 1st, 2hdc in next st * repeat till end and 1hdc in last st. ch2, turn.

Go on repeating row 2 until your scarf is 180cm/70inch long. Fasten off and wip stitch the ends together using your yarn needle.123456Keep repeating row 2 until your scarf has reached the desired length, which for me is 180cm/70inch.7

I love how the pattern looks! I tried the pattern, but I shortened the number of starting chains by 4 and then by 8. Both times the scarf width diminished as the number of rows I crocheted increased. I don’t know what I was doing incorrectly as I thought I followed the directions. Could it be the decreased number of starting chains was the problem? If so, in what multiples can the starting chain be? (I just didn’t want to make it as wide as the pattern.)
    Thank you!

Hey! The foundation chain should be multiples of 2+4. I chained 32 and my rows were 28 stitches wide.
      I hope this helps!
