Ribbed Cowl

When I saw this gorgeous yarn I just had to have it!  Too bad I can’t recommend the brand, because it’s a house brand from a store only located here in The Netherlands. But I can however, recommend a variegated worsted weight yarn for this specific pattern.

This is what you’ll need:

  • Crochet hook 10mm
  • Worsted weight (variegated) yarn

Stitch abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • st = stitch
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • dc = double crochet
  • fpdc = front post double crochet

This is how you do a fpdc:How to.. fpdc

Photo Tutorial:

Keep repeating row 2 until your cowl has reached the desired length, which for me is 32cm/12,5inch

Ch60, close with sl st

Ch2, 1dc in the next 59st, close with sl st in 2nd ch

1fpdc in each st around, close with sl st

Keep repeating this till your cowl reaches the desired length, which for me is 32cm/12,5inch

Finish with a row of sc between the st

Turn cowl upside down and again crochet a row of sc between the st
