Step1: First square

Attach yarn with a sc in the 3th st of a corner, * ch3, skip 1st, 1sc in the next st * repeat till the first st of the next corner, ch5 (instead of 3), skip 2st (instead of 1).

Repeat this also for the other 3 sides.Step 2: Second square

Attach yarn with a sc in the 4th st of a corner, * ch3, skip 1st, 1sc in the next st * repeat till the first st of the next corner, ch5 (instead of 3), skip 2st (instead of 1).

Repeat this on 1 more side.Ch2, drop hook and insert into the first ch3 space on the left side of the corner space of the first square. Pull up the loop you dropped, ch1, skip 1st of the second square and sc in the next st.Repeat this till the next corner. Now ch4, drop hook and pull it up again through the ch5 space, ch1, skip 2st of second square and sc in the next st.Now finish the last side as you began.

You didn’t join 1 corner and that corner is the bottom corner. Bottom corners are a part of the inside corners and you will be joining them in the next row of squares. (Make sure that the not-joined-corners are all at the bottom and on the same side)Step 3:  next square

Repeat step 2 until you have reached the desired width of your blanket

Step 4: First square of every next row

Again start by attaching in 3rd st of a corner and crochet on 2 sidesAttach the second corner to the blanket and attach the whole top side to the blanketThen attach the next two corners diagonally  (not with the one above it)Finish the last side.

Step 5:  All squares that come second in every square row

Crochet on 1 side, leave the first corner unattached. Attach first side and attach the next two corners diagonally. Do the same in the second corner. In the last row of squares you will attach the inner corners to the one next to it, just like the top of the first row.
