This is what you’ll need:

  • 5mm crochet hook
  • ‘Yarn and Colors’, Epic in 4 different colors

o   015: Mustard (3x)

o   097: Shadow (1x)

o   094: Silver (1x)

o   091: Khaki (1x)

Stitch abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • st = stitch/stitches
  • dc = double crochet
  • dc2tog = double crochet 2 stitches together
  • tsc = twisted single crochet
  • sl st = slip stitch

Bag

1: Magic ring, ch2 (does not count as a st), 12dc in the ring, close with sl st in the first dc (changing colors) (12) 2: ch2, 2dc in each st around, sl st in first dc (24) 3: ch2, * 1dc in next st, 2dc in the next st * repeat to end, sl st in first dc (36) 4: ch2, * 1dc in the next 2st, 2dc in the next st * repeat to end, sl st (48) Keep increasing:

5: ch2, * 1dc in the next 3st, 2dc in the next st *, sl st (60)

6: ch2, * 1dc in the next 4st, 2dc in the next st *, sl st (72)

7: ch2, * 1dc in the next 5st, 2dc in the next st *, sl st (84)

8: ch2, * 1dc in the next 6st, 2dc in the next st *, sl st (96)

9: ch2, * 1dc in the next 7st, 2dc in the next st *, sl st (108)

10: ch2, * 1dc in the next 8st, 2dc in the next st *, sl st (120) 11 – 21: ch2, 1dc in each st around, sl st (120) Stop changing color from here on out

22: ch2, * 1dc in the next 8st, dc2tog * repeat to end, sl st (108)

23: ch2, 1dc in each st, sl st (108)

24: ch2, * 1dc in the next 7st, dc2tog * repeat to end, sl st (96)

25: ch2, 1dc in each st, sl st (96)

26: ch2, * 1dc in the next 6st, dc2tog * repeat to end, sl st (84)

27: ch2, 1dc in each st, sl st (84)

28: ch2, * 1dc in the next 5st, dc2tog * repeat to end, sl st (72)

29: ch2, 1dc in each st around, sl st (72) Strap

1: Ch1, tsc in the next 28st, sl st in the next st, ch3, 1dc in the same spot, 1dc in the next 7st, ch3 and turn

2 – 50: 1dc in the next 8st, ch3 and turn 51: Attach strap on other side of the bag; flip strap over the other side and sl st on the inside, starting with the first st right next to first tsc 52: Turn your bag, so the front side is facing you again. Now tsc across the edge of the strap; 2tsc for every row, and tsc across the other edge of the bag. Fasten off, attach yarn on the other side of the strap and tsc across

    About haw many yards do you think this takes and do you have any size measurements on the bag? It’s beautiful!!

      Hi Cynthia! I used up about 5 skeins of cotton yarn. Each skein is 82yd, so that’s 410yd in total. The strap is 41inch, the length of the bag is about 14inch (when streched) and the width is 15inch (also when streched).
      I hope this helps!
