This is what you’ll need:

  • ByClaire cotton, color: Ivory (4ply cotton yarn)
  • 3mm crochet hook
  • Metal ring 30cm/11.8inch
  • Optional: feathers, suede cord and a hot glue gun

Stitch abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • dc = double crochet

1: ch6, close with sl st, ch3, 13d in the ring, close with sl st in 3rd ch (14)2: ch4, * 1dc in the next st, ch1 * repeat to end, sl st in 3rd ch (28)3: sl st in ch space, * ch4, sl st in next ch space * repeat to end (70)4: sl st to middle of first ch space, * ch5, sl st in next ch space * repeat to end (84)

5: sl st to middle, * ch6, sl st in next ch space * repeat to end (98)

6: sl st in next ch space, -ch4, 1dc, ch1, 1dc- in same spot, * in the next ch space; -1dc, ch1, 1dc, ch1, 1dc- * repeat to end, sl st in 3rd ch (70)7: (crochet this row between the stitches instead of through the loops) ch3, 1dc in the next 3st, 2dc in the next st, * 1dc in the next 4st, 2dc in the next st * repeat to end, sl st in 3rd ch (84)8: * ch3, skip 1st, sl st in next st * repeat to end (164)

9: sl st to middle of first ch space, * ch3, sl st in next ch space * repeat to end (164)

10: sl st to middle of first ch space, * ch4, sl st in next ch space * repeat to end (210)11: sl st in first ch space, ch3, 4dc in same spot, sl st in next ch space, * 5dc in next ch space, sl st in next ch space * repeat to end, close with sl st in 3rd ch (126)12: sl st in next st, * ch6, skip 5st, sl st in next st * repeat to end (147)

17: sl st to middle of first ch space, * ch5, sl st in next ch space * repeat to end (294)18: sl st to middle of first ch space, * 3sc around the metal ring, 1sc around the next ch space and metal ring * (196)

Now decorate your dreamcatcher with feathers, or ribbons, or whatever you like. I used suedo cord, and feathers. But the options are endless. If you want to use feathers, I recommend that you use a hot glue gun. In this post you can see how I do it.

    Very pretty. I used a thinner yarn and smaller hook. Posted it to Instagram and tagged you. Going to try baby socks next. Your pattern seems pretty easy to follow.

      Lona Smith I got mine from Amazon. I’m in the UK and struggle to get nice thin ones for this. These metal hoops are brill. I just typed in 30cm metal hoop and they came up
